Lyras are available for sale. These instruments are bottle shaped upright fiddles native to
the southern shore of the Eastern Black Sea region of Turkey and Georgia and are
also called Kara Deniz Kemenche. They are shaped very
much like the Early European kit. These particular
professional traditional instruments are hand made by the
master craftsman Grigoris Tsalgatidis who is
considered to be the best maker of lyras. They come
complete with a hand made traditional style bow and a
lockable hardshell case with keys. The price is $625 US plus shipping
